The French navy in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 15 March 1823

Paris, 10 March. The frigate la Junon (1) left Toulon 1 March to escort from Marseille a convoy of 40 merchant ships towards Strait Gibraltar. At Toulon were the ship of the line le Trident (2), the corvette la Victorieuse (3) and the brigs l’Inconstant (4), le Zabre (5) and the le Dragen (6) fitted out with all efforts. It was believed that they were for the end of the month ready for departure.
