The privateers of the Independents according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 20 July 1828
New York, 15 June. According to letters from Terra Firma dated 30 April went a representative of the Independents to the island Sint Eustatius (former Netherlands Antilles) to buy victuals for the squadron lying at Guana. All the privateers belonging to the squadron commanded by admiral Brion were ordered to gather at the island Margareta to blockade the coasts occupied by the Spanish.
