Spanish naval strength according to the Dutch newspaper ‘s Hertogenbossche Courant dated 22 December 1778

An item dated Madrid 20 November reported that the strength of the navy was still increasing. In the harbours of the kingdom were 67 ships of the line and 98 other ships and vessels with a total armament of 7,003 guns waiting for orders to depart.
