Danish warships with presents for the Turkish Sultan returned according to the Dutch magazine Maandelyksche Nederlandsche Mercurius dated October 1758

Tidings from Copenhagen, Denmark reported that the two warships which departed in 1757 towards Constantinople with presents for the sultan had returned. Captain Villars died in the meantime on board of one of these ships. His death was a major loss for the Royal Danish losing one of her best seamen.
