British troop transport Nubia arriving at Plymouth according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated Thursday 20 March 1902

An item reported that last Tuesday the transport Nubia arrived at Plymouth coming from South Africa with 29 officers and 279 men on board all invalid. If there were more soldiers on board which were not wounded was not reported.

1. The Second Boer War found place between 11 October 1899 and 31 May 1902 and ended in a defeat of the Boers and regaining British sovereignty of the Orange Free State and South African Republic (Transvaal). In 1920 became the Union of South Africa part of the Commonwealth.
