German steamship Emilie Woermann arrived at German West Africa according to the Dutch newspaper Midddelburgsche Courant dated 3 February 1904

An item referred to the revolt of the Herero’s in German West Africa. The steamship Emilie Woermann (1) arrived on 31 January at Swakopmond coming from Duala with the guns and ammunition from the Wolf which were needed for respond. The first transport with reinforcements excluded the 500 marines passed Dover and on 6 February was the second transport to leave Hamburg. The marines were expected to arrive the 8yh at Swakopmond, the reinforcement detachment which had been underway when the revolt broken out was to arrive every moment.

1. She was owned by the German East Africa Line or Deutsche (Ost)-Afrika-Linie also known as the Woermann Linie. The ships of this company had a yellow colored funnel with a black top and further more black, white, red, white and black bands. Built in 1903 with a measurement of 2,486 tons and a gross tonnage of 2,492 tons was she sold to the Hamburg Amerika Linie in 1907 and renamed Edea. In 1918-1919 handed over to Belgium and in 1921 renamed Maroc.
