Dutch brig ship Professor Suringar bound for Japan according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated 24 February 1869

An announcement reported that the 400 tons clipper brig ship Professor Suringar captain H.P. Kluit was lying in Amsterdam destined towards Kanagawa and Decima and possible via Osaka (Hiogo). For more details could be asked at shipbrokers De Coningh&Co. in Amsterdam and P.A. van Es&Co. in Rotterdam.(1)

The Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated 13 June 1857 published an item dated Amsterdam  12 June that the same day at the shipyard of Gebrs. Schutte the iron built clipper brig of 150 measured lasten was launched for P. Carst Jansz. Captain J.H. Sneltjes.
