Japan agreed to decease naval tonnage if USA and England did the same according to the Dutch newspaper De Banier dated 7 December 1934

An item reported that Japan would agree to decease the tonnage of her navy with 50% if at least England and the USA did the same. This statement was done by the Japanese ambassador Saito during a dinner.
