The Swedish merchant marine according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 16 January 1928

An item reported that for the Swedish merchant marine in 1927 54 new ships were build with a total tonnage of 59.000 tons of which 47.000 tons for foreign account. The same year were 53 ships with a tonnage of 30.000 tons laid up, so that the active tonnage in 1927 was increased with 29.000 tons. On 1 January measured the Swedish merchant marine totally 1.380.000 tons while the new building of 151.000 tons was ordered.
