Dutch frigate ship Cornelia en Henriette launched in Amsterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 12 June 1839

An item reported that on Thursdayday 12 June at 14.00 o’clock at the shipyard de Nachtegaal shipbuilder Jan Nuveen intended to launch the frigate ship Cornelia en Henriette. The newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 12 June reported that at the shipyard St. Jago in the Groote Bikkerstraat of Jan Nuveen on Thursday 13 June at 14.00 o’clock if the weather was well the frigate ship Cornelia en Henriette would be launched. The edition dated 15 June 1839 reported that a day earlier at the shipyard de Walvisch in the Groote Bikkerstraat in Amsterdam the frigate ship Cornelia en Henriette of about 1.000 tons was launched by shipbuilder Jan Nuveen for B.W. van Straten (1) captain S. van Delden Azn. for the Dutch East Indies trade.

Barend Willem van Starckenborg van Straten (22 February 1804 Amsterdam-25 August 1846 Bad Homburg von der Höhe, Darmstardt, Hesse, Germany) married at Batavia on 14 August 1825 with Theodora Mechtilde ten Cate (28 May 1801 Oudendijk-14 December 1864 Amsterdam). Her sister was married with Jan Bonn ship owner in the Dutch East Indies trade and after his death with captain Maarten Christoffel/Marten Christopher Löschen.
