An item reported that the National Trust Company Inc. [Netherlands Antilles] which managed the fleet of the Brown and Root Offshore n.v. bought the crane ship Ocean builder I from A.H. Marine. A modern crane ship fitted out with a 2.000 tons Derrick crane and specialized in laying pipes.(1)

1. Built in 1956 as the Cuyohoga at the shipyard of Fairfield SB/BAE Systems Surface Ships Govan, Glasgow for Torvald Klaseness. In 1971 sold to AG Marines and renamed Santos. At the Boele’s scheepswerven at Bolnes converted into a derrick barge and as the Ocean Builder I became she property of Brown and Root. Later renamed OPI and ending as the J Ray McDermott until broken up at New Orleans in 2003. IMO 5083215, call sign YJYV5. Last Vanatua-flagged. Gross tonnage 22.587 tons and a summer deadweight of 30.309 tons. Lifting capacity 2.000-3.000 tons.
