New crane ship E.K.S. 3- built for the Steenkolen Handels Vereeniging at Rotterdam according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag dated 19 December 1914

An item dated Lobith 18 December reported the passing the same morning of the new crane ship E.K.S. 30 master Schuitmaker bound for Ruhrort to be fitted out with a crane. She was built at the shipyard Van Duijvendijk at Lekkerker for the S.H.V. [Steenkolen Handels Vereeniging] at Rotterdam.
