An item referred to the magazine Army and Naval Journal reporting that the British Admiralty decided to use one of the elder Holland type submarines to test what the effects were of mine and torpedo explosions. The purpose of this tests were to get more notion of what the most effectively of anti submarine warfare was. The explosions were to take place on different distances van de submarine.
