New US navy destroyer design according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 no. 4

An item referred to the magazine Marine Rundschau reporting that the American engineer Lewis Nixon designed a destroyer able to cross the Atlantic Ocean in four days.(1) Fitted out with five screws each driven by a 6.000 hp explosion engine was her maximum speed 33 miles. With a displacement of 2.000 tons was her range 16.000 (economical speed)-3.000 (speed 30 miles) miles.
