An item reported that the 2-450 ton destroyers built at the naval yard at Rochefort were to be named Enseigne Henry and Aspirant Herber after two officers killed during the defence of the embassies at Peking.(1)

1. Both of the Spahi-class with as sister ships the Spahi, Hussrad, Carabinier, Landquenet and Mameluk. The Enseigne Henry was launched on 12 May 1911 and stricken in June 1928, the Aspirant Herber launched on 30 April 1912 and stricken in July 1930.
