Germany stationing tugs in Belgium according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf dated 24 August 1916

An item dated the 23rd referred to earlier tidings reporting that Germany brought a large number of tugs via Terneuzen and Sas van Gent to Belgium,. At that moment were already seventy tugs available and more as 100 to be added to this number. The tugs were to remain in Belgium and were crewed with or aged or with very young sailors. Which purpose their presence in Belgium had was not known.
