American steam tanker Paulsboro in problems according to the Dutch newspaper Voorwaarts dated 29 August 1929

An item dated Mobile the 28th reported that the coast guard received a wireless SOS sent by the American steam tanker Paulsboro reporting that on board  fire broke out. She was on that moment 292 miles west north west of the Tortugas and underway from Houston towards Bayonne. A second tiding reported however that her crew managed to prevent an increase of the fire. She was built in 1916, property of the Vacuum Oil Company at New York, measured 6.698 gross tons with a crew numbering 30 persons.
