American tankers build by Italian shipyard according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 14 August 1937

An item dated Trieste, Italy date 12 August reported that the Standard Oil Company of New Yersey ordered the building of 2-4,000 tons tankers by the Monfalcone shipyard to be used for transporting oil from the Maracaibo lake, Venezuela to Aruba. Both ships were to be completed in October 1938.
