Movements of the Greeks and Turkish navies in February-March 1822 according to the Dutch newspaper Goessche Courant dated 22 March 1822

The Turkish fleet with strength of 60 sails and 12000 soldiers commanded by Mehmed pasha left the Dardanelles. 9 February was at Constantinople an 84-gun ship of the line, 2 sloops and 2 extra ordinary gunboats launched in the presence of the sultan and the court. It was almost certain that against the end of March another fleet of 40 sails, commanded by the Captain Pasha, was to depart for the Archipelago.
