Dutch whaler Vrouw Anna sold at Amsterdam in 9 October 1769

Made by Gerrit Groenewegen (Rotterdam, 16 oktober 1754 – 7 augustus 1826)
Sold on an auction 9 October 1769 in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam the whaler Vrouw Anna. This extra ordinary seaworthy sailing fluyt ship had as master Nanning Adriaansz and was newly fitted out in 1739. Her dimensions were 113½ x 29’4”x 13’2”, the verdeck 7’0” and the S. 9’6” Amsterdam foot. Costs ƒ 4.6000 with and adjudication of ƒ 25. R. Hageman on behalf of his master. Nanning Adriaansz was a commandeur in the Greenland whale-fishery. He sailed in 1769 in service of Joachim Thyssen at Amsterdam. His results were 7½ wahles, 190 barrels whale-blubber and 271 quardelen train-oil.
