French naval movements according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 15 May 1823

Rochefort, 6 May. According to a private letter departed the frigate Flora (1) 4 May the island Aix while escorting 11 merchant ships destined towards the Antilles. At their destination were other warships waiting to escort them back to France. The coast vessel la Panthère (2) departed with the convoy bringing frigate captain Hugon to the island Gorea of which island he was appointed as commanding officer. At the end of April left the brig of war le Vigilant (3) la Rochelle to escort 16 merchant ships towards Bayonne. Underway the brig met another 24 ships with the same destination and which were added to the convoy. After bringing these ships to Bayonne 6 other ships were escorted from Bayonne towards the island Aix where the brig arrived yesterday.
