According to a letter dated Lucena 5 July was general Bourmount at Sevilla busy with the organisation of several Spanish regiments consisting of two regiment’s infantry, one cavalry and one regiment artillery. A flotilla consisting of a large number of small vessels ready for departure and to join the squadron which was 4 July due to the arrival at Cadiz strengthened by the 74-gun le Trident, the hulk la Guerriere, the corvette la Bayadere and the advice yacht la Zebre. The l’Antigone and the la Zebre joined by some small vessels were cruising off San-Petri. One part of the squadron was anchored off Rota; the other part was ready waiting at the entrance.
