British naval movements according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 9 January 1823
London, 3 January. According to a letter from Plymouth were the 120-gun Britannia and the Impregnable fitted out for an immediately to be performed expedition. The latter ship normally armed with 104 guns was now to carry just 74. The Windsor Castle was next week to be repaired at the yard while the guard ship 78-gun Superb and 76-gun Bulwark were toe fitted out for service in the Channel.
