Dutch tug Siberie performed well during her trial according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 25 February 1926

An item reported that the tug-icebreaker Siberie built for account of the Nederlandschen Stoomsleepdienst v/h P. Smit Jr. at the Machinefabriek en Scheepswerf van P. Smit Jr., Rotterdam, Netherlands performed a day earlier her successful trial. On the measured mile was a speed of 10,3 miles achieved. Her main task was to assist and tow seagoing ships in the harbour of Rotterdam. She was fitted out with four spotlights and a large searchlight for nightly salvage activities.
