Stockholm,
13 April. At the end of April of begin May would the squadron ordered to
protect the merchant trade shipping depart to sea. Four ships of the line and
six frigates of 36-40 guns were lying ready of which of the latter two at
Karlskrona, two at Gothenburg and two of the fleet in Finland. Six other
warships were at Karlskrona waiting for further orders. The answer of the
British court dealing with the behaviour of British privateers against Swedish
ships was daily expected to arrive. Recently left a 40-gun frigate from
Karlskrona towards Morocco with the annual presents.
