American whaler Roman lying in October 1865 at Hobart, Tasmania. according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 16 January 1866

An item referred to the letter written by captain Hamblen on 22 October 1865 of the Roman of New Bedford lying at Hobart, Tasmania loaded with 300 barrels sperm and 700 barrels whale oil. They had not seen a whale for the last two months.
