An item dated Den Helder the 29th reported the departure that morning of the Dutch merchant ship Zwaan captain Doeksen with on board a Japanese army officer. He served the last two years in the Dutch army. According to rumours he was called by the Japanese cabinet for special reasons although he seemed to return later back to the Netherlands.
