Ship Annie in problems near South Africa according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 2 January 1872

An item dated Cape Town 18 November 1871 reported that the ship Annie captain Jackson was damaged between the Algoa Bay and the Simons Bay and needed repairs. The Annie was chartered to transport the remaining parts of the condemned ship Aldebaran towards New York, USA.
