Wreck of British frigate ship Glenorchy on Dutch island Texel for sale according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 26 January 1860

An announcement reported the intended auction of the wreck and what was left of the anchors, chains, rigging and possible of the cargo  of the British frigate ship Glenorchy captain Hugh Mac-Allaster on Monday 30 January 11.00 o’clock at Cocksdorp, Eijerland. A day later was what salvaged of the cargo more or less damaged by the sea water to be sold. The ship was wrecked on 26 December 1859 on the Eijerlandsche gronden, island Texel underway from Surabaya, Dutch East Indies towards Amsterdam, Netherlands.
