British government forbade export torpedo boats and equipment according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 22 April 1878

An item referred to a royal decision of the British government to forbade the export of torpedo boats, torpedoes and further equipment. (1)

Note
1. The reason for this decision was the war (1877-1878) between the Ottoman empire supported by the United Kingdom and the Russian Empire, the latter supported by Romania, Montenegro, Serbia and Bulgarian volunteers.
