Dutch bark ship Theodorus lying at Mobile, USA bound for Antwerp, Belgium according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 4 August 1891

An item reported that the Dutch bark ship Theodorus (1) captain G. Bruijn of De Groof&Co., Vlissingen, Netherlands was lying on the 1st at Mobile, USA ready for departure towards Antwerp, Belgium Another newspaper the Vlisisngse Courant dated 20 September reported her passing on the 19th.

1. The Middelburgsche Courant dated Saturday 8 July 1893 reported that the Theodorus was yet not sold on the auction last Wednesday at Rotterdam, Netherlands for the price of ƒ 21.000. She measured 924 tons and was built in 1851. The newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 23 June 1893 published an announcement of an auction on Wednesday 5 July in the locality Pro Patria, Scheepmakershaven no.. 29, Rotterdam, Netherlands of a fast iron built bark ship Theodorus with as dimensions 66,54 x 9 x 19,80 (?) metres and measuring net 921 81/100 tons. She was at that moment lying at the shipyard of Bonn&Mees at Rotterdam, Netherlands.
