Russian navy yard fitted out with British manufactured steam hammer according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 17 April 1864

An item referred to tidings received from St. Petersburg, Russia that the government smithy there now was fitted out with a huge steam hammer with a total weight of 150 tons and a handle with a length of 38’ and a diameter of 2’4” and weighing 42 ton. The hammer was manufactured in Newcastle, England.
