Masonry of dry dock at the navy shipyard at Den Helder, Netehrlands damaged according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche Courant dated 26 September 1866

An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 26th reported that the crack in the masonry of the old dry dock at the navy yard was of little importance. Some believed that the crack was due to vibrations in the soil caused by Dutch warships lying in the harbour doing gun excises/practising a target.
