Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij (N.H.M.) hired Dutch frigate Staatsraad van Ewijck as troop transport according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 7 June 1862

An item reported that the N.H.M. hired the Dutch ship Staatsraad van Ewijck captain De Winter to transport 150 military and 8 cabin passengers from the Netherlands towards Batavia, Dutch East Indies.(1)
