Dutch ship Mentor arrived at Nieuwediep, Netherlands returning from the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 19 May 1860

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 4 April referred to a letter dated Nieuwediep, Netherlands 3 April written by captain Duinker of the ship Mentor returning from Batavia, Dutch East Indies reporting that on 31 March off Goudstraat they suffered from a heavy storm and overcoming waves although the ship was not leaking. Everything was further well on board.
