American whaler Johan Dawson bound for St. Catherines according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 7 June 1864

An item referred to a letter dated 1st April written by captain Cornell of the bark John Dawson of New Bedford, USA reporting a catch of 140 barrels sperm oil since his last letter. Her total catch was 1.070 barrels perm whale and another 15 whale. Her new destination was St. Catherines. Measured 237 (?) tons. Agents J&W.R. Wing. Departed on 12 May 1862 to the Atlantic.
