British sloop HMS Acorn leaving the British Indies for England according to the Dutch newspaper Java Government Gazette dated 27 July 1816

An item reported the departure from Madras, British Indies on 30 April of the British HMS Acorn captain Prior bound for England.(1)

1. Sloop, launched at the shipyard of Crooker, Bideford, England on 30 October 1807, broken up in May 1819, with a 430 tons builders measurement and an armament of 18 guns.
