British packet brig HMS Express attacked American steamship Prometheus according to the Dutch newspaper Opregte Haarlemsche Courant dated 22 December 1851

An item dated London, England the 19^th reported that the American representative seemed to be ordered by his government for an explanation for the attack by the British brig HMS Express on the steamship Prometheus on 21st November on the river San Juan.(1)
