Dutch tug trawler Geertruida (IJM 403) reported the discovery of a lifeboat of an anonymous ship according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 16 November 1917
An item dated IJmuiden, Netherlands
14th reported that the Dutch tug trawler Geertruida (IJM 403) after
her arrival stated that they hailed underway a lugger of Scheveningen. The
lugger picked up a lifeboat with the pennant of a fishing vessel of IJmuiden. More details
were unknown. The lifeboat was brown painted indicating that she belonged to a
steam trawler while near all lifeboats of luggers were white painted.
