Dutch tug Thames searching for wreck of a submarine according to the Dutch newspaper Tilburgsche courant dated 17 August 1918

An item dated Nieuwediep, Netherlands 17th reported that the Dutch tug Thames departed to investigate the wreck of a submarine which was reported by the Dutch fishing botter Helder 325 to be lying 8 miles east of the lightship Haaks. Master K. Kramer of the fishing vessel saw a submarine floating with her stern above the surface and which was an obstacle for the shipping.
