An item dated Berlin, Germany 5th referred to the official statement of the Russian representative at The Hague, Netherlands dealing with the destruction of a German submarine by a Russian submarine on 20th January in the Baltic Sea off Moens. German authorities claimed that this tiding was nonsense.
