An item dated Kristiania [nowadays Oslo], Norway 8th reported that on the 2nd a Russian destroyer shot at a German submarine, the Russians on a distance of 2,5-3 and the Germans on 3-5 nautical miles distance from Homoean near Vardoe, Norway. The Norwegian representative was ordered to protest in Petrograd [nowadays St. Petersburg], Russia against the violation of neutral waters.
