An item dated Tanger, Morocco 29th reported the arrival of the Spanish submarine C-4 with a huge hole in her bow caused by a bombardment by a airplane of the rebels.(1)

1. Launched at Cartagena, Spain on 6 July 1929 and lost in June 1946. On 7 March 1939 surrendered to the Spanish Nationalists. She was an improved, enlarged B-class of the Holland-design built under a license of the Electric Boat Company, USA.
