American privateer Saucy Jack captured British ship Sir John Sherbroke according to the Dutch newspaper Opregte Haarlemsche Courant dated 10 February 1814

An item reported that the American privateer Saucy Jack of 11 guns and 130 men captured after a battle of 2 hours off Cape Malze the British ship Sir John Sherbroke which was underway from Quebec, Canada towards Jamaica. At British side was the captain and two men wounded and one killed, on board of the privateer were 15 men wounded.
