Dutch East Indiaman Eemland bound for the Dutch East Indies in 1687
Pinnace or yacht. She left on 10 May 1687 Wielingen, Netherlands, visited Cape of Good Hope, South Africa between 13 October-2 November 1687 and arrived at Batavia, Dutch East Indies on 28 February 1688. Her crew numbered 61 (arrival)-67 (departure) sailors and further more 28 (arrival)-34 (departure) soldiers. Built at Amsterdam, Netherlands in >1680-1681<. Fitted out this voyage by the chamber Zeeland. Laid up at Batavia in May 1700. Tonnage 398 metric tons, Dutch measurement cargo capacity 186 last, measurement at Batavia, Dutch East Indies cargo capacity 200 last. Measured February 1689 capacity of hold bruto 21595.84 cubic feet, net 20117.60 cubic feet and dimensions 122-123.0 x 29 x 10½, length hold 79.42½ feet.
