French privateer Le Pandour captured several British ships according to the Dutch newspaper Ommelander courant dated 20 December 1793
An item referred to
tidings received from Elsinore, Denmark that on the 21st [of
November?] at Bergen [Norway?] the French privateer the brig Le Pandour arrived
with two British prizes and a third one, a pink loaded with timber was sent to
Tonningen, Denmark. She was armed with 14-9pd guns, 26 swivels and a crew of
120-130 men commanded by captain Nicolas Hardouir. Hardouir stated that four
privateers left Dunkirk, France towards sea. He captured in
the Channel another 3 British prizes which were sent to Dunkirk.
