British screw steam corvette Cordelia underway from South Africa towards Singapore according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 7 June 1887

An item dated 6th reported the passing on the 4th of Oud Anjer [nowadays Anyer, Indonesia] by the British steam warship Cardella [Cordelia?] underway from Simons Bay, South Africa towards Singapore. Until the 6th was she surveying off Poeloe Merak, Dutch East Indies..(1)
