American whaler Helen Snow lying at Jarvis Island bound to the north according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 13 September 1859

A letter written by captain Nye on board of the bark Helen Snow of New Bedford, USA dated Jarvis Island on 11th April with a catch of 325 barrels sperm oil between seasons and now destined towards the north.(1)
