British screw steam gunboat HMS Firebrand arrived at Batavia, Dutch East Indies coming from the Cocos Island according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 23 July 1888

An item dated Batavia, Dutch East Indies 21st reported the arrival of the British steam warship Ferebrand captain Denison coming from the Cocos Islands. (1)
