Brazilian torpedo gunboat Tiradentes 1891-1925

Laid down at the shipyard of Armstrong, Newcastle, United Kingdom in 1891, launched on 26 May 1892, completed in 1893 and stricken in July 1925. Steel-hulled and wood-sheathed. Not armoured except for the conning tower which sides were protected by2,5xm thick steel armour. Displacement 795 (normal) and as dimensions 50,3 (between perpendiculars) x 9,14 x 3,28 (mean) metres. Vertical triple expansion machinery supplying 1.646 hp allowing a maximum speed of 14,5 knots. Cal bunker capacity 110 ton. Her crew numbered 110 men. The armament consisted of 4x1-12cm /40 Armstrong guns, 3x1-5,7cm /40 Hotchkiss guns and 2x1-35,6cm torpedo tubes.
